seeking new musical projects and collaborations.
Musical collaborators,production directors,producers,singers and others should take note. Ms. Deschenes’ enormous amount of talent and expertise has much to offer the Los Angeles musical community.
A native of Granby,Quebec,Canada,Ms. Deschenes began playing the piano at the early age of six. Her parents immediately recognized her natural talent and arranged for professional lessons. While many children often begin piano lessons and quickly lose interest,Andree-Ann’s insatiable desire to learn new pieces and share them with friends and family was proof that she had found her true calling.
Ms. Deschenes attended the prestigious Humber College in Toronto,Canada,where she graduated with a degree in Music Performance in 2010. After which,she was admitted on scholarship to CSULA and received her Master’s in Music.
While still residing in Canada,Andree-Ann had the privilege to study privately with classical masters Yvan Leduc and Linda Brady,as well as Canadian jazz favorites Francois Bourassa,David Restivo,Nancy Walker and Brian Dickinson,among several others.
Andree-Ann has worked with many singers as a vocal coach to prepare auditions and exams and played with various groups and choirs. Andree-Ann is also proud to have co-produced and played in a unique modern classical recital presented in Montreal (2008) with then teacher Linda Brady. Additionally,Ms. Deschenes acted as musical director for Ghost Light Projects’ Larger than Life musical production in the summer of 2010.
Andree-Ann Deschenes has been part of many house bands (showcases and cabaret spectacles – pianist/keyboardist and back-up vocals),played in musicals such as a Scarborough production of The Sound of Music,as pianist,and provided music in various restaurants,also as pianist.
